Haiti Cheri has concentrated its work in the remote village of Dolval, Haiti. This village is located in the mountains of Northeast Haiti near the border with the Dominican Republic. It is a drive of about 3 hours from the major city of Cap-Haitien, covering very rough roads. Dolval is an unusual village which has not been spoiled by deforestation and corruption found in most other parts of the country. In 1950, one of the villagers went to the city of Trou-du-Nord and became a Christian. He returned to his village and his two brothers became Christians as well. This was the seed of what became a thriving Christian community. God has blessed the residents of this area with long life and a sweet spirit. Haiti Cheri has partnered with the community to enable the residents to spread their Christian love to other parts of Haiti.
