STORY OF THE VISION

The following is the story of the vision for Dolval, as written by Rev. Guillaume.

My vision for Dolval

God called me to take care his land in Dolval with a very clear vision.  In it, we find these points:

  • It is a vision to transform the darkness into light. And the world will know there is a place in Haiti we call Dolval (Land of God).

  • It is the vision of a place where the hurting, the depressed, the frustrated, the homeless, the humiliated, and the abandoned, can find love acceptance, help, hope, forgiveness, guidance, and encouragement.

  • It is a vision of sharing the good news of Jesus with the hundreds of thousands of residents in Haiti through Dolval and preparing people to preach the gospel everywhere in the world.

  • It is a vision of welcoming people into the village of Dolval for ministering, loving, learning, laughing, and living in a life-changing environment.

  • It is a vision of developing people to spiritual maturity through Bible studies, small group, seminars, retreats, clinic and a vocational school for the people in Dolval.

  • It is a vision of having a campus to receive young Christians from everywhere in Haiti, and different parts of the world; it is a vision of working with other people in Dolval who come to be resident missionaries there.

  • It is a vision of equipping every believer for a significant ministry by helping them discover the gifts and talents God gave them. It is also a vision to equip other villages and pastors and to develop them for the work of God.

  • It is a vision of at least 15 acres of land, on which will be built a clinic, agriculture school, bible school, guesthouse, chapel, and learning center. All of this will be designed to minister to the Dolval community.

I stand before this vision and believe that the vision will become reality. Why? For the reason that it is inspired by God.

As I said, God is behind this vision, he is the source of this vision and he is responsible for it. Maybe, someone might say, "why have you never published your vision before?" The answer is found in the book of Nehemiah 2:12: “I did not tell anyone what my God was putting in my heart to do…”
