The word “pòtapòt” means “door to door” in the Haitian Creole language. Door-to-Door Microcredit is a tool for the community of Dolval and surrounding areas, used to provide economic and cultural development in the area. It empowers national production, small markets and local small businesses. It is called Door-to-Door Microcredit because the program literally goes door to door throughout the communities served, with hands-on involvement to ensure the greatest probability of success.
