Eglise Baptiste Carmel, Dolval Haiti

Dolval is located in the northeast corner of Haiti, near the Dominican Republic border. In 1950, one of the villagers went to the distant city of Trou du Nord and became a Christian. He returned to his village and his two brothers became Christians as well. This was the seed of what became a thriving Christian community. God has blessed the residents of this area with long life and a sweet spirit.

Our goal is to assist the residents of this village to develop a local economy and to create an environment that is self-sustaining. We believe it is possible to aid and encourage the local people to create opportunity in the village of Dolval. Once that is done, we want to encourage the people of Dolval to go out to other parts of Haiti and share what Christ has done for them.

Rev. Oris Guillaume, formerly pastor at Eglise Baptiste Carmel, is currently in the United States to raise awareness of this area of Haiti. Haiti Cheri is a bridge between the United States and Dolval. Many projects are under way to help the village in sustainable ways.
