Haiti Cheri Harvest Life Ministries has been hard at work in several villages in Haiti’s Northeast Department, and Cap-Haitien located in the Department of the North. The organization became acquainted with this area through Rev. Oris Guillaume, formerly the pastor of Dolval Baptist Church, and now a citizen of the United States and a missionary to Haiti. Work is well established in the four areas of ministry, medical, development, and education. We are on track to complete construction of a primary school building the last half of 2011. This year will also see the expansion of our microfinance program for the community, which will open the door to financial independence for many people. In the longer term, Haiti Cheri has the objective to establish a medical testing lab located in Cap-Haitien that will provide services to patients needing diagnostic services. This service will be a first in Haiti. We continue to provide support the the churches in the Northeast Department communities where we work.
